Dear Friend,
What a year you have had. But don’t we say that at the end of every year? Probably. I know you coped with some heavy grief this year and some wonderful news to temper the loss.
I hope you recognise how much you learned this year about yourself. Those dark places are hard to enter but that is where the jewels are and you went in and uncovered them. Not everyone can do that and you did it without an oxygen mask. I am in awe of you. I mean it.
Whatever 2020 brings, I want you to remember you did this year with class and grace. You laughed at the absurdity of it all and faced the arrows bravely.
We cannot know what life will bring year on year but we can rely on ourselves to know we can handle whatever comes our way. You have proven this to yourself now, so stand tall and close your eyes and fall back, I will catch you and hold you for a while.
I love you.
Happy New Year.
Best,
Kate
